Avis
In all honesty this book had me hooked. If I didn't have work or didn't have things to do I would have sat here reading this book and one sitting but unfortunately enough I have things to do and I couldn't do it. But sure enough this book from the beginning to the end had me wanting to come back home immediately forget about watching TV forget about tick tock forget about any other book I bought it was this one. I had to sit down and finish this one I can see every single thing so vividly. I loved all the twist and turns I was not expecting the mother to do it I wasn't expecting Thea and Rebecca to be in a relationship like it was a lot I wasn't expecting Jameson and Grayson and their confessions were just so heartwarming and I was just like but the puzzles were amazing I loved it I was there for him. Like this book was the best book I've ever picked up it was so exciting and I have never gotten this excited about a book ever before well I have but it's been the first time in a very long time that I have. Cannot wait to start the second.
Palette émotionnelle: alluring, ambitious, complex, dazzling, gripping
At first this book seems to be just another mystery. It's not. It not only had my heart racing for the puzzles but also had my heart racing because of the heir apparent and his dashing lyrics handsome brothers.
☆☆☆☆☆I'm not one to often stray away from my comfort bubble when it comes to reading. I either read fantasy, romance or fantasy romance combos. But I'd heard such good things about this book so I just had to read it. And I loved it! Avery Grambs has a plan for a better future: survive high school, win a scholarship, and get out. But her fortunes change in an instant when billionaire Tobias Hawthorne dies and leaves Avery virtually his entire fortune. The catch? Avery has no idea why--or even who Tobias Hawthorne is. Avery is a very relatable character. She's fiercely loyal to those she loves and wouldn't let anything get in the way of protecting them. She's also extremely smart. A lot of people, especially those in her high school, underestimate just how smart Avery is. Avery often refers to herself as "invisible" or "like wallpaper" until she gets to Hawthorne House. Whilst there, she realises just how special she is when she becomes the key to unlocking how Tobia Hawthorne's mind worked and the secrets that have been kept from her. Conclusion: Overall, I loved this book. I don't normally read mystery books but this is really good! The plot twist at the end as well... honestly I didn't see it coming! It was so good! I'm so glad I've got the second book ready to go! Definite 5 stars from me!
