THE OPERATOR

Andy Capriati and Johnny O'Brien, friends since high school, struggle to balance family and business, laughter and tears, in this bawdy tale of making a living in the construction industry on Long Island, New York. Johnny is devoted to his wife and two kids and works as a general contractor while Andy, a long time ladies' man now trying to make a relationship work for more than a few weeks, is trapped in a family run excavation business with his ornery father and two brothers who demand everything from him but offer little in return. The two friends rely on their wits and outrageous sense of humor to overcome the many trials of surviving in today's world especially when an environmentally sensitive project releases the wrath of government authorities and the psychotic attention of an overzealous state trooper dedicated to ridding the earth of irreverent individuals like Andy and Johnny. With the help and hindrance of their families and a supporting cast of odd ball characters they turn this ominous journey toward a deadly showdown into a raucous, sensitive, creative battle with all the forces that make everyday life both challenging and worthwhile.
