Description

In the eerie coastal town of Sparrow, secrets swirl like mist over the waves. Two hundred years ago, the tragic fate of three sisters cast a dark shadow over the community, marking it with a haunting curse. Now, the spirits of those sisters return each summer, luring unsuspecting visitors to the shores, where love, loss, and vengeance intertwine.

Amidst this backdrop of mystery, a young girl grapples with her own dark past while uncovering the town's chilling history. As summer descends, the boundary between fate and choice blurs, and she finds herself irresistibly drawn to the sisters’ tale and the dangerous allure of the unknown.

Rich in atmosphere and tension, this story unfolds like a whispered warning, inviting readers into a world where danger lurks beneath the surface, and every choice carries the weight of the past.

When I picked up this book, I had absolutely no idea what it was about, which was quite refreshing for me, after reading so many books with movie adaptations. The first few chapters had my attention. The book started off with an interesting concept and an eerie, magical atmosphere that I really liked. However, halfway through, it completely lost me.The writing is simple enough to read, but I would have liked to have some more descriptions, since it's very dialogue based. The main character ends up suffering from the curse of instalove and that really bothered me. How on earth can you fall deeply in love with someone, after knowing them for a couple of hours and saying two words to them?Half of the book just seems to drag on, with no actual plot unraveling and the ending was quite predictable for me. Since the final scenes are deeply influenced by the instalove going on, it just didn't feel very believable to me.I think this could have been so much more than it ended up being, and I truly wanted it to be.
