An ice storm in the desert? A blizzard in Florida?! Everyone in the town of Old Bridgeport is wondering what in the world is causing such wacky weather. When Sarah finds a strange old man at The Magic Door Toyshop, she suddenly suspects it's someone from a different world who is making all the trouble. That world is the Great Kettles, a magic place where storybook characters have a surprisingly real influence over our world. Sarah should know -- she's been there before! The old man turns out to be none other than Old Man Winter himself, and he's in big trouble. His castle has been taken over, and now winter is in the hands of Kudgel, a blundering novice with high and dangerous ambitions. Sarah knows Old Man Winter needs her help, but saving the day proves more difficult than she imagined. How is she ever going to help Old Man Winter keep winter from running wild in both worlds?
