The National Gardening Association (NGA) is a prominent organization dedicated to promoting gardening and horticulture across the United States. Founded in 1973, the NGA aims to provide resources and educational opportunities for gardeners of all ages and skill levels. Their initiatives encompass a wide range of topics, from basic gardening techniques to more advanced horticultural practices, making gardening accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The association also emphasizes the importance of gardening in fostering a connection with nature and enhancing community well-being.

In addition to offering publications like "Gardening Basics For Dummies" and guides specifically tailored for children, the NGA engages in various programs that encourage youth involvement in gardening activities. Their efforts help instill a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship among young individuals. Through workshops, educational materials, and community outreach, the NGA continues to inspire a love for gardening, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
