Through insightful anecdotes and research, Hartmann encourages a rethinking of traditional educational and professional structures that frequently stifle the potential of ADHD individuals. He advocates for a society that values diverse cognitive styles, promoting environments that allow for creativity and flexibility. This exploration not only sheds light on ADHD but also opens a dialogue about the ways modern life can better accommodate and celebrate neurodiversity.

Visualizza tuttoA really interesting book looking into ADHD. Framed from a hunter/farmer perspective on how ADHD traits would have appeared throughout the course of history and how the modern world can clash with those traits, the book tackles individual challenges and explorers how they can be managed and turned into advantageous skills. Importantly, it does an excellent job at highlighting how it is not a disorder but acknowledges how its interpretation over previous decades can put individuals in difficult circumstances for later life. Not all chapters were strong. I found the final few, while inspiring, went off track a little. It didn't detract too much from my overall feeling on the book though.
