Visualizza tutto3.5 starsYou're a kaleidoscope. You change every time I look away.I really enjoyed these two short stories. I personally loved Kindered Spirits more than Midnights, but I still enjoyed it. I really really really love the illustrations a lot, the style was so beautiful. The characters were also likeable and I related to Elena quite a bit.
Absolutely the cutest short stories I have read <3 They were both 5 stars for me :DThe first story,Midnights, despite being so short, was so good!!!! I always love the idea of best friends to dating, I guess it is because I appreciate deeper connections with people? Or because I'm a Pisces. Either way, this was the cutest thing ever. My heart broke so much for Mags when she had to watch Noel, who she obviously had a crush on, be with other people every year. I just absolutely loved the ending, despite that we knew from the start. The second story, Kindered Spirits, absolutely shattered me. Plus, the main character has the same name as me, AND they meet at a Star Wars line! My life but more interesting. In the beginning, it was veeeeery slow, that I found myself wondering when the fourth person would arrive to pose as the love interests. Then it immediately picked up the pace AND WAS AMAZING. After their conversation about the school I immediately knew they were from the same one, so it came as kind of a cheap surprise. Despite not actually seeing them get together, the ending was the cutest thing ever. I could just read a book of them going on cute dates tbh.
