I actually give this book 3 1/2 s, I found it dragged a little at the beginning and I kept putting it down. About a 1/3rd the way through it picked up and I finished the rest in 2 sittings. Alice Appleton stayed a little too mousie for me but when needed she showed gumption. Now Detective Reese Bareden is a hottiepototie hahaOverall a decent series continuation by Lori Foster.
