Just when I thought Sang had finally found a place where she belonged, her father showed up and reminded me why he's one of my least favorite people in this series.Seriously.The man disappears for months, leaves Sang and her sister to fend for themselves, and then suddenly decides he gets to make decisions about her life? Absolutely not. đ¤Watching Sang get pulled back into that environment broke my heart. After everything she's been through and everything she's built with the Academy, it felt like she was being forced backward when all she's done is fight to move forward.And then there's Dr. Sean Green. â¤ď¸đSean has always been one of my favorite adults in the series, but this book made me love him even more. The care, patience, and fierce protectiveness he shows toward Sang had me emotional more times than I can count. Every scene involving Sean hit me right in the heart.The relationships throughout the team also felt more real than ever. Now that everyone's feelings are out in the open, things are messy, complicated, and sometimes painful. But honestly? That's what made it so good. The tension, jealousy, uncertainty, and love all felt authentic.
