difficult to get into at first, but slowly got around to enjoying the plot and characters (mostly reiko tbh). I liked the main theme, "food (life) is what you make of it yourself and you should eat and treasure it for yourself too" but it took a loooong time before I finished reading it as the language was sooo descriptive and sometimes difficult to get through.
