Captain Rugged and the Literally Leaping Lizards

The first volume in the Captain Rugged series pits our hero, a classic "jack of all trades" pulp hero, and his Rugged Squad against a mysterious figure who controls an army of lizards from afar. Monitor lizards. I will not say anything more about them because that will probably give away who the mysterious figure is. Will Captain Rugged and his intrepid (that's another word for semi-competent, right?) team thwart the plans of this person? Will they find a cure for the President's mysterious ailment? Will Captain Rugged make a fool of himself in front of the First Lady? The answer to at least one of these questions is yes.

The Captain Rugged series begins in the aftermath of World War I. It is, then, sort of historical fiction, in the same sense that Archer is a show about spies. Which I guess is a good parallel. I mean, I'm not saying that this book is funny like Archer or anything. Or maybe it is! You will have to decide for yourself!

This is the part of the description where I am supposed to be talking up my writing, right? Look. Here are the things that I am fairly sure

- This book is written in the English language. I know this because it is currently the only language that I speak fluently.
- There are not very many spelling errors at all. The author finished in 6th place in his whole entire school in the spelling bee when he was in 3rd grade, and that legacy of awesomeness is now passed down to you.
- I'm not going to make any special claims about the grammar.
- Well, maybe one I probably split more than one infinitive in this book. That is how I roll, suckas! I play fast and loose!
- The word "suckas" does not appear in this novella.

Expect a second volume out at some point in the future when I, um, find where I put it! It's kind of rugged as well. Or Rugged, as the case may be.
