Chasing the Yellow Dragon: All you ever wanted to ask about teaching English in China but forgot to ask

In this book I will give you the skinny on what it’s like to be a teacher in China, warts and all. This will not be an academic book. I will not quote learned papers about pedagogy, teaching practice and theories. You might even notice some bad grammar.  It will not be a travelogue telling you about all the wonderful places I have visited either, although I will allude to them if they are relevant. 
Most of this book is based upon my journal, blogs and real-life experiences of living in China and my six years teaching in colleges and a High School in Nanjing, the old capital city of China––now the busiest educational market in the country.

You might have just graduated from university and are looking for travel and adventure together with a way of earning money en route, or you could be a PGCE qualified teacher wanting to jump the wire, escaping the pressures of teaching in a school that has forgotten about educating children and just wants you to tick Government approved boxes. Or like me, an old fart, escaping from the boring tedium of the nine-to-five job wanting to see some of the world before its too late and have some adventures.
