Pacing : 👀 I don’t even wanna comment on this..Characters : ⭐ for cole and Delilah both. What I loved : I loved the spice and the description, the writing was good, easy to flow through and read. What I struggled with : but, here comes the struggle, because one night stands are not my thing, not a club au that starts with the FMC’s breakup, so she goes to a bar because she wants to drown all her sorrows only to end up in cole’s bed, ew. woman, please have some standards, because you don’t meet your “dream” man at a club!i’m feeling so angry / sarcastic about this book, I can’t even, the spice is the only part keeping the book going at the point I was reading it. The MMC’s description of wanting to fuck Delilah is so annoying, because all we see is sexual chemistry, give me some love, trust, understanding, quarrels, making up, not some stupid jealousy, and cheating, of course, after what delilah went through, he cheats on her, well…he is with another woman while Delilah and him are together is off putting. Loveable characters or not : absolutely not!Strong character development : no, I didn’t even want to read when cole’s desire was shown more as if he’s preying on poor Delilah than desire itself. eek. Plot driven / character driven : nothing. Favorite quotes/ highlights : none. Similar authors : i’d recommend if you wanna read workplace romance, please read Leila burnes’s book. Similar book recommendations : work for it by Leila burnes, it’s so good, the workplace romance is so good, no spoilers since you can read and find that out yourself. Any other details : i’d not recommend this book to anyone. it’s a book where the MMC is such a disrespectful person, forget about love and romance. can’t even respect her outside the bedroom and not on the day they met. and on top of that, Delilah is a virgin just made me bitter because men like cole don’t deserve it. that’s it. I said what I said.
