Damnn. I read this book because I wanted to cry. Yes, I did. But I didn't cry. I saw the book on TikTok and people were talking about it as a book that would make me cry and that was why I picked it. It didn't make me cry, I don't think there was anything in the book that would make someone cry but it was still good. I finished it and it was worth it. I do wish I could read the full book of Darling Venom. I mean the one Kellan wrote. But it's okay 😭. I love Tate but sometimes I wish Kellan was still alive and that he got a happy ending with Charlotte. But it's still okay😭. I'd definitely recommend this book to someone who loves reading about grief, healing, forgiveness and finding love. I love Charlotte and Leah's story too. And about the end, I've always suspected who the real author of 'The Imperfections' was. I was surprised but not shocked. Rating this book 4.5 stars. That's it! Can't believe I wrote a review😂
4.5 ⭐️ bookIf you’re gojng into this thinking it’s a romance book contrary to the blurb I wouldn’t say it is. It’s a book that deals with grieve and the how the love ones of self unaliving victims deals in the aftermath of their deaths. It highlights each characters way of grieving and how they got through it. It showed there is no one such way of grieving and that there is no right or wrong way but instead of letting the events control you, you take it and learn from it. Does it have romance aspects? Yes but that was never the main goal of the book.
I've never thought i would have been able to love this book so much. This was filled with so many emotions and tropes. It may be harsh to say but i don't think this story could've moved forward without Kellen's death. Kellen was destroyed while he was alive but he was the biggest reason to heal everybody else.
