Five Feet Apart

🫁1.75 stars⌛I thought this would be really heartbreaking, and while it made me cry, it kind of disappointed me at the same time.🫰The concept was really good! I don't know about the execution though...👌Minor issue here: Will lending out his room for Hope and Jason did kind of disgust me.👎Pacing was a little fast. The characters' reactions were immediate and had no process -- skipping straight to anger instead of disbelief -> grief -> acceptance -> anger.👎The way they resolve their problems made me apoplectic. Their lives are at risk if they come too close together, yet they repeatedly cross the boundary again and again. Which is cute and everything, but in a real-life context, extremely foolish.👎The ending was kind of underwhelming... things are left unclear and it felt like an open ending (which I don't like).

4.5⭐I've had this book for a while, and I saw it on my bookshelf and was thinking "You know, I need a good cry" so I picked it up and finished it in 3 days(not including crying, closing and reopening the book). I've read a few of Rachel Lippincott's books and I'm never disappointed. I think it's so beautiful and devastating that Will pleaded Stella to take the lungs because he needed her to live, for him.🤧
