<spoiler></spoiler>I've seen a lot of people say that Four, brings nothing new to the table, but really it does. Bringing a different perspective of where Four comes from, his past, how he got to where he was, his successes (not just a small highlight of what is exposed to Tris, in the Divergent series), offers a whole different perspective on the story line for me. From escaping his father to learning his mother is alive - it showed me an entirely different angle of not just the heroic side of the life and wanting to do what's right but the inner battle of the childhood traumatic past, new and old wounds placed right in front of you and still having to make the right choice, no matter how hard.
Fans of the Divergent trilogy will be thrilled by this companion volume.
