Heather tells us a little about her life both growing up and now, and what has influenced her ability to be a good listener, allowing the freedom, time and space for the person talking to tell their story. Heather documents in more detail her three years of friendship with Lale, the gentleman whos story she developed into her book 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' as well as the connections that led to her learning about Cilka and writing her story in 'Cilka's Journey'.We are given advice that Heather has picked up along the way about how to listen to others both adults and children and how important listening is to building positive relationships. It will make you smile and it will draw a tear or two.
