Peter Ashton has been sent to Germany to report on the death of a captain in the Intelligence Corps, murdered after a riot in Dresden by neo-Nazi thugs. Immediately after his meeting with beautiful Galina Kutuzova, Ashton is encouraged to report back with the acceptable explanation for the death - pure accident. However, after an unofficial trip to Russia, he realizes how important Galina is. Learning that she has fled to America and that silencing her is high on someone's list of priorities, Ashton sets out to rescue her.
