*** Spoiler Alert*** Part 4 of Joyce's five-part story – ‘First Time at Forty’ Joyce and the charismatic Frenchman, Raoul du Lamond, became lovers during their stay on the East African coast. The end of the contract has meant that they have to return to their respective countries, but all is not lost for Joyce. Raoul has invited her to stay with him at his vineyard estate in the Bordeaux region of France.
