All the children in Room Nine are excited when they get their bright white graduation gowns. Mrs. says to keep them in their boxes until the big day. But Junie B. Jones just can’t help herself. Junie is always funny and silly (her animal voiceovers are her at her essence), but I was so impressed with the kindness in this ending that I thought it was perfectly timed for own rising first grader. They really do grow so much during the kindergarten year, and acceptance is one of the most important lessons.
