I honestly hated how it was written, couldn't wait for it to be finished, and even that couldn't come fast enough... I skipped one too many chapters
I absolutely love this book! The plot twist at the end was insane I never saw it coming. Fully recommend it. The show also does a fantastic recreation of the book! It is definitely for those who like mysteries.

Listened to the audiobook and I think the reader just wasn't the best choice. It took a LONG time to get good!
This book is really addictive and easy to read, but I feel very mixed about it. The writing style wasn’t for me and I feel like it didn’t have a real plot. The family is a complete mess, and even if I enjoyed some parts, I honestly thought it was going to be better. My brain is still processing everything. I don’t know how to feel.
Ik vond dit boek dus helemaal niks. Ik zat te wachten op die mega plottwist en het deed me gewoon niks. De schrijfstijl was nie tmijn ding, de karakters niet... alles niet. Ik zag het geloof ik teveel aankomen.

I loved this book. The characters are easy to love. Would recommend reading before watching the series.
Nous les menteurs, une lecture surprenante. Ce livre est très bien écris avec du suspense jusqu’au bout. Je ne m’attendais pas à la fin de ce livre, c’était très surprenant. J’ai beaucoup aimé cette lecture qui est très simple et fluide. J’ai regardé la série juste après et le livre est beaucoup mieux à mon avis. Je vous conseille vraiment de le lire.
Durant ce livre, nous suivons l’histoire de la famille Sinclair. Cette famille se retrouve tous les étés, sur leur île privée, nous suivons les enfants qui vieillissent majoritairement entre leurs 15 et 16 ans. Le personnage principal est Cadence la plus âgée des petits enfants qui a subi un traumatisme durant l’été 15 et ne se souvient pas de cet été. Durant tout ce livre nous allons découvrir les événements qui ont eu lieu lors de l’été 15.
I have loved this book since I first read it, but I forgot just how amazing it is! Such a beautiful story and so well written. I loved all the extra stuff in the back of this version and it's truly a collector's copy.
I watched the show first before reading the book but I wished I had read the book first before the show but it's ok because it was really good and made me cry.
I think this is a book where you should know the ending before reading it. Because nothing really made sense at all. The book was actually really boring until you find out the truth.
