L'uomo di gesso
Descrizione

When this book was recommended to me my first thoughts were that it was like IT, a book that I really enjoyed as I love Stephen King. Little did I know that it was going to be very very similar.I did not enjoy the start of this book and I'll be honest about that. I'm giving it 4 stars though because once I hit the midway point things picked up and I really couldn't put it down. It went from feeling like a shortened and carbon copy of IT to a really amazing thriller that I loved. I did not see the ending coming at all, though I did feel like it was a little bit rushed.Eddie as a character got a bit old to me fairly quickly-- especially in the chapters about him being an adult. As a kid the things he was doing could be justified as not knowing better but as an adult they were just plain weird. Fat Gav and Hoppo were characters that I kept getting confused honestly. All in all if you like a murder mystery and a thriller you'll like this book.
Edit: knocking it down a star bc it's highly forgettable. I already can't tell a plot point or charasteristic oops-I guessed the killer like half way through but the last chapter??? I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING AT ALL i guess you could say i needed a...HEADs up
