After finishing the book, I didn't quite know what to make of the ending. On one hand, the ending felt very compressed, in comparison to the slow buildup, giving the book a half-hearted ending.On the other hand it reflected the consequences of war and human moral ambiguity. The consequences, such as grief and trauma, as well as guilt and anger were also displayed. Katniss Everdeen begins to doubt herself and her devotion to the cause, until she spirals down into her own trauma. The ending, in my opinion, was supposed to make the reader reflect on war and violence and its consequences. It was also meant to evoke a sense of disturbance and discomfort, since the rebellion not only leads to the overthrow of the Capitol, it also establishes a new one. In the process, Katniss' life falls apart. First she loses District 12, then most of her friends and comrades and eventually even her sister Prim.
J'ai adorer se livre le suspense les personnage avant je ne lisais jamais et maintenant je fait que ça se livre ma fait pleurer avec tout les drames je pense que c'est le meilleure livre que j'ai lu de toute ma vie ❤
people who don't like this book because they find it boring!!!!! they exist... and they are the capitol in real life. they are reading this merely for the romance subplot and the suspense of child murder of course they are going to be disappointed. this was a perfect ending to he trilogy. thank you Suzanne ... can I call you Suzanne... I'm just gonna... thank you for all you do!!!
There is a common cliché among male and female heroes in dystopian or fantasy genres: "A hero who has no desire to be the pathfinder but fate and circumstances place them at the center of a great event."Katniss Everdeen also appears to be one of these heroes, but there is a special quality in her that not only distinguishes her but makes her more valuable and lovable to me. In most of those stories, after being placed on that path, the heroes accept the circumstances as if they had that leadership within them from the start and claimed it, whereas Katniss was nothing more than a 16 or 17-year-old girl who, to protect one of the few possessions in her life, became the symbol of a revolution she truly had no interest in playing a role in until the very end, because that role was nothing but a limitation for her and was in the hands of those who themselves did not understand its true value. The only thing that mattered to her was to complete the tasks that either she wanted or that were right. Tasks driven by the long suffering of herself and her friends, tasks that were sincere and just, even if sometimes they did not go as planned.Katniss is not an idealist; Katniss is not without mistakes. In fact, she is a large collection of contradictions and mistakes alongside a pure soul and tenderness that even the closest people in her life sometimes forget.This also applies to Peeta, who is a catalyst that, in the most correct way possible, always tries to find the light no matter what happens, even in the worst conditions, and this is the beauty of the love he has for Katniss. I have rarely seen a couple in my books who are so right for each other.I said all this to say that this character (and of course the other characters in this series) truly hold a special place in my heart;Katniss with her strong will and broken spiritPeeta with the tenderness and light that even Snow’s absolute evil could not take away from himMy kind, wounded HaymitchFinnick and Annie and their beautiful tragic loveJohanna and the vulnerability she hides behind her warrior maskBeetee, Plutarch, Mags, Wiress, Boggs, Greasy Sae, and every small and big role that had a place in this story.Honestly, I don’t know if my decision to continue reading this series was to torment myself more like Katniss’s habit of counting the debts she owed and the people she had directly or indirectly caused to die, or to cling to the memory of the times I watched the movies that forever secured a strong place in my heart and gave me hope; whatever it was, I’m glad I did it.And I hope Suzanne Collins will write again, write for me again, and make me happy, troubled, or devastated; write about Wiress, Beetee, Mags, and Johanna's games, write about the life story of Tigris, write about Finnick and the suffering he endured after winning, write about Katniss’s father who was indirectly responsible for many major events.I hope this woman can capture my heart as much as possible and bring me back to this world again and again.
Mockingjay, the concluding chapter of an excellent trilogy, brings the final curtain call to Katniss's and Peeta's story. Emotionally charged, darker and far more morally tangled than Catching Fire or The Hunger Games; we get to see the true cost of rebellion in an authoritative world.

So depressing and dark,but realistic.Real or not real?REAL!I’m a bit depressed by the ending and even the whole book.Anyway,despite every thing ,this book exceeded all my expectations ,maybe because I had set them so low!!And I enjoy reading it.It wasn't quite as good as "The Hunger Games," but better than "Catching Fire."A lot of characters died in this installment.However,the character's death which bugged me the most is definitely Prim's. I was on verge of tears.Poor her! I wanted her alive and also I wanted her to be a doctor.And also Finnick' death.Finnick and Annie reminds me of Lupin and Tonks in some ways.And I'm a bit depressed that Katniss ended up with Peeta.I feel,Gale was only a tool to make the story more engaging to follow. He didn't try much to win Katniss's heart. Maybe,that's for the better and he'll find a better person,who knows?!
Creo que todos estamos de acuerdo que hay muertes que dolieron en el fondo de mi corazón (Prim y Finnick), tengo el sentimiento todavía en mi corazón, puesto que, es imposible pasar por debajo de la mesa todo lo que me hizo sentir la saga.
It was a good book, but it wasnt what I hoped it would be. It was too rushed, and did not have the same feel as the others. Still a decent book though.
The first and second book was way better than this book, but I am still a major Suzanne Collins fan!!! 😁🥰😍🤩🥳💙💙💙🖤🖤🖤👄
joya de la literatura. me tomó un tiempo acabarlo porque ando en bloqueo, pero eso no le quita la calidad de pedazo de arte. sentí tantas cosas y siento que tuvo un cierre con broche de oro. toda la trilogía fue excelente y ahora quiero ver de nuevo las películas.
It's been over a decade since I first read this series. I picked the series up again because I finally got my hands on copies of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and Sunrise on the Reaping.This is probably my least favourite book in the trilogy. I remember being bored halfway through the first time I read Mockingjay and I'm afraid this still happens. I mean, all they did was shoot a lot of propos for most of the book. I also don't remember the characters being so vastly different from book two. Katniss was so strong-willed in books one and two and just seemed like a shell of herself in this one. But she has been through a lot so I guess that would change anyone. HOWEVER, nostalgia won out again. I pushed through the middle of the book, got my heart ripped out during the sewer scene and now I can't wait to read TBOSAS.
Really good, way better than the movies, start was kinda boring, but I loved it cause of the inner dialog which gives you a lot more info than the movies did. Also katniss and peetas relationship buildup was SO GOOD, like I didn't think it would be able to be better than the movies but it was so much more genuine and sweeter
