-Should have taken more time on some plot lines and spent less time on the ones it did (Short but was long for what it was at the same time)
-Dragged on with the plot
-Alex and Molly didn't seem consistent with first book
-Wanted Alex and Molly's chemistry and relationship to be delved into on deeper level
"Joy to the Girls" is a holiday novella follow-up to "She Gets the Girl." This was a fun, sweet story that drops readers back into Alex and Molly's world, complete with their friends from the first book. This novella would be perfect for kicking off any holiday reading. It's pretty fast-paced and quick to read. My one frustration with the story was that the main characters could have fixed their problems by just talking to each other earlier in the book. I know this is written as a upper-ya novel, but miscommunication is one of my least favorite tropes. Because this was a novella and not a full length novel I was able to look past it and still enjoy the story.Thank you to Simon & Schuster and Netgalley for providing me an advanced reader copy of the novella in exchange for an honest review.
