In his field, deep in the heart of the English countryside, Norbert lives a joyful, if simple, life, spending his days munching happily on the lush green grass. Finally, after many years of trying, he has plucked up the courage to propose to Delilah, the pretty pony who lives in the paddock next door, and the future is looking rosy.

Little does he know that danger lurks not far away; Mrs Muckleton, a wicked farmer who lives across the valley has her sights firmly set on Norbert’s field and will stop at nothing to get her hands on it. If she succeeds, she plans to dig it up and turn it into a racetrack for her snooty racehorse, Claude, leaving Norbert, the badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, squirrels, mice and other creatures who live there without a home. And worst of all, she has vowed to chop down the old sycamore tree, home to Norbert’s best friend, Colin the cuckoo!

When Norbert’s hapless owner, Farmer Finbar, proves to be no match for Mrs Muckleton’s scheming ways, it is up to the animals to come up with a daring plan to stop her…
