If you love words and the English language, undoubtedly you will love this volume of modern verse. It runs the gamut from humour to tragic to profound. Hay paints with words in a fresh and authentically original way. And he is not averse to making the odd word up to heighten the literary effect. Above all, Poetry Schmoetry is both moving and entertaining in equal measure. A delightful volume that will become a favourite.
