Descrizione
As the inhabitants confront the challenges posed by their peculiar world, themes of belief and interpretation emerge, with each deity—minor or major—adding their own flavor to the grand spectacle of life. Underneath the humor lies a profound exploration of humanity, encouraging readers to ponder their own beliefs and the nature of the gods we create to explain the unexplainable. It’s a journey through absurdity, inviting laughter while inviting genuine reflection on the nature of faith and existence.

Visualizza tuttoThe thirteenth Discworld novel. Religion is a controversial business in the Discworld. Everyone has their own opinion, and indeed their own gods. Who comes in all shapes and sizes. In such a competitive environment, there is a pressing need to make one's presence felt. And it's certainly not remotely helpful to be reduced to be appearing in the form of a tortoise, a manifestation far below god-like status in anyone's book.
This is now one of my all-time favourite books. It's funny, insightful of humanity and religion, witty, thought provoking, and even touching in parts. I'll definitely read this again in future.
"El tiempo es una droga, en cantidades excesivas mata"Muy muy bueno. Como todo lo que escribió Terry PratchettUna sátira muy bien tirada de como funcionan las religiones y lo que lleva el perder los valores.
