I loved this book so much! The main characters had the spark that I always look for in books, you can feel that they love each other and they care a lot about each other. Loved the way writing with Charlie gave Emma the courage she needed to have trust in herself and give it her all! They were both adorable
This book was so cute and the banter between the characters was great. Such a perfect and entertaining rom-com. I needed a quick cute book to read right now.
If she mentions her frizzy, curly hair that can't be tamed one more time I'm going to scream ------------------------------------------------------------------------------This wasn't bad. At least not bad bad. I guess. There were moments were i was truly swept away and fully emersed in the story. So it definitely had it good rom-com moments (ha! See what i did there ;)). But. There was just something about the story, the writing, the pacing that made me feel irritated or icky. Like every time I finally got into it, there was just something snapping me out of it, that bothered me continuously. And the romance wasn't hitting the way it was supposed to either.At times the pacing felt off to me. Like i get that you have these quick romcom moments, like oh something almost romantic or emotion and oh! Blunder. But here it just didn't really flow into each other smoothly. I felt constantly confused and it made me unable to fully enjoy it.ALSO. And omg this irritated me most in the book. I think Emma's wild curly untameable hair was mentioned more often than herself if you told me the mc of this book was her hair? I WOULDNT BE SURPRISEF. I get Emma is quirky and different and the fmc. But girl😭. Seriously its like the woman thinks us curly haired girlies are some space like creatures. The way nothing bothered me as much as the continuous 'oh my hair is so frizzy and it could never be neat because of my untameable hair' BRO WHYY?!?! No. Yes this bugged me so much I just wrote an entire paragraph about it in my review.Overall, it really wasn't bad, and there were times I enjoyed it! It's an easy light romance read, and the idea itself is AMAZING. So really it's not all bad. But I just couldn't fully get into it, and that's why the 3 stars :))
