Skybowl

Though the widely scattered troops of both armies have fought a series of running battles, neither side has yet been able to claim total victory. But now both the High Prince and the invading Warlord have at last sent out the long-awaited call to mobilize all of their warriors. Pol's chosen battleground is at Skybowl, and to attain this goal he is even ready to abandon the keep at Skybowl, making it an irresistible staging grounds for his foe.

But with Pol's wife Meiglan held prisoner by the Warlord, the High Prince's mother Sioned undertakes a daring mission of her own into the now enemy-controlled castle, using her years of experience as High Princess in a cunning attempt to strike at the heart of the invasion force and at the same time free Meiglan.

And even as Sioned carries out this perilous plan, Pol and his cousin Andry, Lord of the Sunrunners of Goddess Keep, are forced into an uneasy—and potentially mutually deadly—alliance.
