T is a teenager navigating the tumultuous landscape of high school. She’s an introvert, often lost in her thoughts, finding solace in her own world away from the social chaos that surrounds her. Her friendships are few but meaningful, yet she struggles to connect with those around her, leaving her feeling like an outsider. T's life takes an unexpected turn when she stumbles upon a mysterious game that begins to intertwine with her reality, leading her down a path of self-discovery and unexpected connections.
As T becomes more engrossed in the game, she grapples with her identity and the challenges of growing up. The narrative delicately explores themes of mental health, loneliness, and the complexities of adolescent relationships. It’s a journey marked by insightful reflections and an honest portrayal of the struggles many face during their teenage years.
Amidst the challenges, T encounters a cast of characters who each bring their own stories and struggles, highlighting the importance of empathy and understanding. Their interactions shape her perspective on connection, friendship, and what it truly means to belong.
In this coming-of-age tale, T's experiences resonate with anyone who has ever felt out of place or sought out their own path in a world that often seems overwhelming. It invites readers to reflect on their own journeys and the nuanced relationships that intersect along the way.

I love how raw and real this book feels. Tori’s voice is so relatable, and her struggles really hit me. It’s heavier than Heartstopper, but I couldn’t put it down. Oseman writes emotional angst so well!
