Summer's here...

...and the time is right for... anything. And everything. Because this summer Jess is sixteen, and she's going to be a lifeguard.

Reed Peterson is a lifeguard, too. But that's where their similarities end. Because Jess is from Far Hampton; Reed is from New York - he's one of the summer people. Jess goes to public school; Reed to prep school. Jess is open and friendly; Reed is aloof. Jess knows what Reed is - a snob. And she and her friend Andy would just love to put Reed Peterson in his place.

But Jess is fooling herself. Because Reed always gets what he wants - and she's already in too deep....
