Visualizza tuttoI don't know how I missed adding this book, I LOVED it! I have yet to read a Nalini Singh book I didn't like. I find the world she’s woven fascinating. This is another great novel in the PSY-Changeling series is set in the future, this novel is set in 2070. There are three types of humanoids: Psy, they live in 'silence' they have given up emotions to allow for greater brain power and gifts such as teleportation. Changelings they are animal shape shifters, mostly these novels revolve around the SnowDancers Wolves and DarkRiver leopards and finally humans. Tangle of Need revolves around Adria, a wolf changeling who has spent much of the past decade in an unhealthy relationship. She finally makes a break from the past and is focused on her independence. Lone wolf Riaz is a SnowDancer lieutenant he’s a true soldier and he recently found his mate and she was married to someone else. For both Wolf and Leopard changelings they only mate once, he’s come home to move on. These two have explosive sexual chemistry but neither wants to be involved with the other. Can they find a balance? Especially when Riaz already has a mate he cannot have? All while the Psy world is disintegrating into chaos and all the races are being drawn into a catastrophic war. As I said before I have yet to read a Nalini Singh book I didn’t like … well this one was NO exception. I gave it 5 ★'s … I LOVED this book, the tension between Riaz and Adria was intense, and the push/pull of their need versus the lack of mating connection was well done.
