The Cameo

Dorothy Eckland was a prim, proper young woman – at least she was until she tried on a beautiful cameo she found in an antique store. She loved the piece immediately because it made her feel more alive, more … sensuous. People noticed as well – Dorothy received compliments on her looks, her outfits. They would touch a shoulder or an arm and make her feel warm inside. In response, she felt like dressing less conservatively, adding a push-up bra here, a shorter skirt there. She began having strange dreams too, about a handsome man who spoke to her as if he knew what she was really like inside, a wild woman who had been waiting all her life to be unleashed. Dorothy might not have taken her new-found freedom any further had not the handsome man from her dreams walked into her life…
