The Deception People

Troy Evans has been having out-of-body (OOB) experiences since he was a child, when a near-death incident nearly ended his life. Now, living a relatively normal existence as a graphic designer, he has another OOB, but this time he mistakenly stumbles upon a secret meeting where he overhears high-level US government officials and their corporate beneficiaries discussing the details of an attack, one that will make 9/11 look like a walk in the park. Troy tries to expose the plot to federal authorities, but bad goes to worst when the perpetrators use their powers to get him labeled mentally delusional and lock him away in a psychiatric ward to shut him up. With only days before the attack, Troy is desperate for an ear, someone who will believe him. He finally convinces his psychiatrist that he is not dysfunctional and that his OOB experiences are real. In a desperate race against time, she helps him escape, and the two become fugitives on the run as the full power of US surveillance system and its law enforcement agencies are put into action to prevent them from exposing the plot and the imminent global catastrophe it will cause.
