She's good at achieving her goals . . .

College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cut-throat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn't include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she's willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.

But the game just got a whole lot more complicated . . .

Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he's fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn't hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The problem is, Sabrina's heart is locked up tight, and the fiery brunette is too stubborn to accept his help. If he wants a life with the woman of his dreams, he'll have to convince her that some goals can only be made with an assist . . .

Из всего цикла самая слабая книга, но тем не менее очень милая

Umore: cozy · hopeful Ritmo: slow-paced

Okay, I'll admit, I started to get frustrated with this one until nearly the end. For most of the book, Summer and Fitz are just dancing around each other. Summer is upset about things Fitz said and Fitz thinks she's just being her dramatic self.Neither one of them are really in the right. Summer gets upset enough to kiss Hunter, or I guess he kissed her? And Fitz just tries to avoid her and pretend he doesn't want her.And it doesn't help that, likely because of that kiss, Hunter "calls dibs" on Summer [I hate that phrase but I get it, bro code I guess], and basically makes it clear he likes her. And Summer doesn't encourage it, really, but she also doesn't stop him, leading to them having some moments together. But as it got to the end, I started to enjoy it more. Having the added storyline of a slimy prof led to a bit of tension. If this book were longer or a different genre, it might have led to the prof claiming she came onto him and leading to a "he said, she said" issue, bringing into question who to believe. At least for the upper staff and student body. With one fellow student already thinking she was using her body to butter up the prof, it could have easily gone in that direction.Instead, the prof went after another student and got caught, leading to him getting reported. And as bad as it sounds, two reports are more trustworthy than one. It truly sucks that's how it is.All in all, it did end well but I feel sad for Hunter. It sucks that he got hurt in this but, it is overall Summer's choice who she wants to be with. He is right in being upset. I mean, he basically got rejected and then has to watch as the girl he likes gets with his best friend. I am honestly looking forward to getting to his book. But right now, it's time for Brenna and Jake and I am so looking forward to listening to that one. It's Teddy freaking Hamilton after all. And I am totally biased when it comes to him.
