The Salty Iguana

This modern-day parable begins when the badly-splintered Commissioners Court of a remote Texas border county shockingly declares its independence from both Texas and the United States...and is immediately formally recognized by nearly 60 foreign nations.

The resulting friction and conflict that follows between the state of Texas and the newly-created and increasingly-hostile Revolutionary Republic of Yucatec del Norte—not to mention roiling tensions with the U.S. federal government—will seem not only plausible, but maybe even a tiny bit prophetic.

THE SALTY IGUANA is the second novel in the Doc Gunther thriller series about a modern-day Texas Ranger assigned to the southern border with Mexico.
