The Scarlet Queen

Kate Whitaker is the spoilt daughter of a Victorian Egyptologist; she enjoys playing tricks on her father's assistants on his desert digs. She anticipates amusing herself with her new prey, Adam Ellis. But Adam is made of sterner stuff and soon puts her in her place. Seven years later the pair meet again in London. Adam, now an archaeologist himself, accompanies Kate back to Egypt where her father is searching for an ancient fabled statue known as the Scarlet Queen. And when Kate discovers that she has a rival for Adam's love, her troubles are just beginning...
