Characters face choices that could change the fate of their world forever, as they grapple with their own fears and desires. Friends will be tested, and sacrifices may be necessary to stand against the encroaching peril. Adventure, intrigue, and epic battles await as the fight between light and shadow unfolds.

4.5 stars this time around. It has lost .5 stars since I last read it about three years ago mainly because I found some parts a bit boring. If it had been around 750 pages rather than 1,000 I would have given it a perfect score. Overall, I’m really enjoying my WoT reread.

I feel like Jordan has figured out what he is doing with this series with this book. It was a slog at the start, but it accelerates into a great adventure. I do wish Jordan was better at developing romance, but I can excuse it at this point.
