Silverwood Public: Home to liars, thieves, and worst of all … the Scorpion Kings.Lucy's "The Venom We Bleed," the first book in the "Scorpion Kings" series, immediately captured my attention. While Lucy left avenues for future exploration of the multi-perspective narratives, improvements to the pacing and the depth of character development could be refined. I found Juliet's relationship with the Scorpion Kings to be lacking in intensity despite its potential. In future installments, the "Why Choose" aspect of the relationship should be emphasized. Overall, I found "The Venom We Bleed" enjoyable and, given the cliffhanger ending, I anticipate more twists and turns with Juliet and the Scorpion Kings.Thank you Greys Promotions and Lucy Smoke for a great read.
