This I Swear

Azure is a paradise—balmy breezes, lush jungles, and warm, turquoise seas. But peace is an illusion… and memory can be a weapon.

For over a century, the Wrogul—intelligent, four-limbed cephalopods—have called Azure home. Alongside their human neighbors and a growing chorus of species, they’ve endured mercenaries, galactic intrigues, and a brutal protection racket bent on exploiting their world. Yet one mystery the Wroguls’ own past.

Aboard the starship Nautilus, a Wrogul-led crew journeys into the unknown in search of their origins. What they discover is not a lost homeworld, but a hidden colony—where Wrogul and humans suffer alike, and the villains may not be who they expected.

Back on Azure, danger multiplies. A shadowy real estate syndicate is quietly seizing land. Whispers of rebellion echo from deep-sea Wrogul colonies. The Crusaders arrive with fire in their rhetoric and warships in orbit. And an ancient intelligence offers its services—but can it be trusted?

The Wrogul are determined to uncover the truth. But it might be better for some answers should stay buried…

From the reefs of Azure to the edge of the Peco Arm, This I Swear is a sweeping science fiction epic of memory, identity, and sacrifice—where alien legacies collide, and the cost of peace may be… everything.
