3.5 ★ i love a carley fortune setting so bad you guys!!! she makes me so nostalgic for places i’ve never been and things i’ve never done and people that literally aren’t even real. i just love feeling like i’m there with the characters and every time i finish one of her books i’m left wanting to visit these places so badly. planning a trip to pei brb.howeverrrr this fell really flat in basically every other aspect. i didn’t dislike the characters, but i never was truly connected to any of them. i hated how bridget and lucy’s friendship was portrayed, because truly all they did was keep secrets from each other while simultaneously calling each other their best friend and like ... you’re clearly not best friends. lol.felt very little chemistry between lucy and felix which was odd because i enjoyed their flirting and how they sent things to each other etc. they were just so physical for a while and i feel like that wasn’t portrayed well enough for me to buy into it, especially since i felt basically no emotional connection between them. not to mention the third act breakup was genuinely just so stupid. was literally just thrown in there to be there and was so unnecessary. i didn’t hate them together, i just felt very meh. they could’ve stayed friends and i wouldn’t have noticed a difference tbh.still enjoyed this obviously!! and binged nearly the entire book today, carley’s writing just clicks so well with my brain. but i was definitely expecring more.── .✦ pre readi would say i’m squeezing in another carley fortune but let’s be so real it’ll feel like summer until december here anyways super excited to keep making my way through her backlist!!
I thought it was very good. I gave it 3 (really want to give 3.5) stars because I felt it dragged on a lot. I loved the history of Lucy and Felix. The whole reasoning for Bridget keeping this “secret” was silly to me when it was finally revealed, it fell flat for me.
A mãe acertou de novo, eu amei esse casal, amei q eles tão sempre viajando, porém oq me fez não dar 5⭐️ foi o "segredo" q a amiga escondia. Mona sua amiga já é grandinha ela não vai dar um chilique pq vc vai se mudar. Dito isso achei essa personagem chatinha o livro todo, menos pro final do livro q ela falou q já sabia de tudo entre a amg e o irmão.
