Through the Ice is an enemies-to-lovers romance that follows college nursing students in their senior year. Audrey, who has been the caretaker of her family since her father's death, is focused solely on school and has missed out on much of the typical college experience. Theo, a new transfer student and star hockey player, who injured both his opponent and her younger brother. Despite their rocky start, Audrey and Theo discover they have more in common than they thought and grow closer as friends. It's just a pure realistic relationship. It grasped the concept of oldest child responsibility super good and overall just great and Omg Theo is such a sweetheart and had so much patience dealing with Audrey. I loved Through the Ice! If you love enemies to lovers, or a cinnamon roll hero, this is your book!
ARC REVIEW!! Some spoilers!!This book was the story of Theo and Audrey. Enemies through Theo causing an injury to Audrey's brother playing hockey. Paired together for nursing rotation Audrey has a dislike for Theo after what happened but Theo is unaware of the connection between her and her brother at first. Background and family issues for them both lead to them both discovering vulnerabilities about the other that lead them to realise how much they care for each other and want to be in each other's lives. That what's on the surface is not always someone's true colours. I really enjoyed this book. A lovely story with a good amount of spice. Thank you @jaquelinesnowe for this arc. Another amazing read.
