Descrizione

In a world where beauty is dictated by societal standards, Tally is on the brink of a significant transformation. As she approaches her sixteenth birthday, she eagerly anticipates the surgery that will make her "pretty," conforming to a superficial ideal that promises acceptance and popularity. However, beneath the surface of this seemingly perfect society lies a troubling truth that challenges the very essence of individuality and freedom.

As Tally navigates her transition, she begins to see the cracks in the flawless facade around her. Her friendships and loyalties are put to the test, forcing her to confront the ethical implications of conformity and the cost of beauty. With compelling themes of identity and societal pressure, Tally's journey invites readers to ponder what defines true beauty and the value of being oneself in a culture obsessed with appearances.

✨️Audiobook review✨️ Uglies by Scott Westerfeld⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I watched this on TV, had never heard of the book before that. So obviously had to get the book to read. Absolutely great book, great storyline. Loads of adventure, drama, found family, and the characters were diverse as well. I loved how they described certain areas and the divide between them. The realisation that they have been forced to think a certain way about themselves for their entire lives, but now everything is changing and sacrifices have to be made. Cracking read and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
