Ukraine: Trip One

This is short travel autobiography of my first visit to the Crimean peninsula in the Ukraine. I went there to see the land and its architecture, to learn its culture and, for me the main point, to meet the people. I was fortunate to get to know the inhabitants of this region before the events of the so-called Euro-Maidan in Kiev had changed particular aspects in their feelings towards one another, specifically between certain ethnic groups. Certainly it was a grand time there during which I learnt a lot. But the most important outcome of my Crimean travels was the privilege of having made new friends in this appealing sliver of land.
