Descrizione

In a world where passion clashes with darkness, two souls navigate the dangerous waters of love and obsession. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a fierce hockey culture, where the stakes are as high as the emotions. The protagonist finds herself entangled in a web of desire and intrigue, drawn to a charismatic yet enigmatic player whose past is riddled with shadows that threaten to consume them both.

As their paths intertwine, the lines between love and rivalry blur, forcing them to confront the demons that haunt them. The tension builds, not just on the ice but within their hearts, as they grapple with the choice between surrendering to their feelings or escaping the turmoil that threatens to break them apart. Each moment is filled with intensity, as undeniable chemistry collides with an electrifying atmosphere.

With every twist and turn, the narrative dives deep into themes of loyalty, ambition, and the price of love. Readers are taken on a gripping journey where vulnerability meets strength, and the game becomes more than just a sport—it's a battleground for the love that could either heal or destroy.

Generi

The first half of the book shows our MCs meet and fall in love in college. It reads like your typical college, sports romance. A popular athlete who can and does have any girl he wants at any time falls for the quiet girl who doesn’t fall at his feet when they meet. But, twist, this girl also has a dark secret and a stalker, which ultimately forces her to leave everything behind, including the boy. The second half jumps 3 years into the future and kinda where it fell apart for me. First, the smut pretty much takes over the plot, and their connection seems much more like lust than actual love. Second, I love an obsessive and protective MMC, but his obsession had some real stalker tendencies, which would be one thing in a different kind of story, but when our FMC had an ACTUAL stalker who terrorized her… I had a hard time believing she would find his behavior cute. Third, it was just kinda all over the place. There were parts of the plot that seemed disjointed, like conversations/scenes had happened that we didn’t witness. When the stalker was finally revealed, I honestly had to be reminded who it even was. All that to say… I didn’t hate it. Don’t go in expecting some great novel, but it was entertaining in the way those old VH1 reality tv shows were (showing my age here?
