When the Night Owl Screams

There is a quality to the darkest of dreams, not unlike that of a frightening and disturbing poem. Each bleeds fear, breathes mystery, and allows us to see nightmares with a secret eye. Words and verses of eerie poetry are like dark blood cells that pump through the macabre heart of poet Michael H. Hanson. To open his strange tomes are to hop onto a weird twilight bus, a vehicle capable of driving through humanity’s dreads and terrors. Michael’s newest collection of poetry, When the Night Owl Screams, offers up to 105 chilling poems that worm their way through the fever dreams staining your subconscious. Remember...you were warned.

“This book is like a magical ticket to visit everything that has been, that touched and surrounded us, from yesterday's vanilla smell to that of chopped alien almonds of lost days, stuck inside us. This is the secret of Michael's his intimately varnished poems carry us back and forth in time and space....” (Alessandro Manzetti, Bram Stoker Award-winning poet)
