3 starsThank you to HarperCollins and Edelweiss for this ARC, in exchange for a honest review. As a K-pop fan I was extremely excited to read XOXO. It literally sounded like a K-drama in a book and it delivered. XOXO is filled with lots of romance and music. I liked the main characters, Jenny and Jaewoo and I adored the side characters. I really liked the friendships and dynamics between all the characters. They all were so supportive of each other. This was a cute, enjoyable and light read, however I kind of wanted slightly more and it was pretty predictable. If you're into K-drama, K-Pop or just music and romance in general and want to learn more about Korean culture then this book is for you.

XOXO is a story about Jenny, a cellist who meets Jaewoo, a K-pop idol and a relationship starts between the two, bringing with it many challenges and she must decide how willing she is to risk for love.Pros.It is a book where the fantasy of millions of fangirls comes true i.e. a love between an ordinary girl and a k-pop idol. It is a cute k-drama being narrated without a bit of depth to it. If you like k-dramas and k-pop, you'll like this book. It will serve you a cute teenage romance which you'll just finish in a few sittings.Cons.The writing style is a little bland but it is pretty fast-paced and you won't realise when you'll finish the book. As said earlier, there is no depth to the story and some very big problems were getting settled pretty instantly which was a bit unrealistic. Moreover, the reader can't connect with the main lead Jenny at all. Her thoughts, her character, there's nothing to be explored in the book. The story went so fast that it doesn't dive deep into the relationship of the leads. There were hardly any moments for their relationship to grow.Overall, a cute romance, k-drama style for all the fangirls out there who dream of meeting their idols just like Jenny did.
