You Can Destroy the Gates of Hell

Jesus declared that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church (Matt. 16:18). This book was written because there are millions of people who do not realize the actual presence, personality, and power of the devil. Others are like the proverbial ostrich. They wish to hide their heads in the sand as they deny the existence of Satan altogether. Or, they protest that he should be neither discussed nor disturbed. Whether or not we believe it, Satan exists and desires to destroy God’s creation. The Church must stand up to this enemy, knowing that “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31).

Christ said, “Go ye into all the world…. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils…. Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end… (Mark 16:15; Matt. 10:8; 28:20). Every formidable fortress of Satan falls flat before the legions of the redeemed who march victoriously under the banner of Christ’s cross.
