After watching the movie trailer and reading some reviews,I decided to give this book a try and it turned out to be better than I'd expected.It just felt to me that romance was dominating in some parts,don't get me wrong,I'm not againt romance,I just felt it was sometimes redundant and also they fell in love so unconditionally that was sort of unbelievable for me.Aside from this aspect,in my opinion,romance made the book somehow slow-paced in the middle.I didn't understand why Mark changed and became so kind and helpful all of a sudden,because of his dogs.It was a bit odd for me!!All in all,if the book was a bit shorter and more action packed ,I would have likedit more!

I really really enjoyed this book.The only thing that has annoyed me is the lack of more books in the series.This book is one of those books that hook you right from the start.You immediately are drawn into a chase scene. And yes that is how the book starts. If you aren’t drawn in by the chase scene, then the events that follow might.I am number four, follows number four’s aka john smith’s life.There are plenty of back stories and I love how the author has included themselves in the story.One of the things that let this book down is the event after event after event.This can be a bad thing. The author (I think) make each new event a kind of test for john and since his powers are growing. In a way you are saying to yourself “oh no not another dramatic event” but you are secretly loving every minute of it. This book has a lot of self discovery. And character history so as the book races ahead you are not left behind.This book in places left me breathless…No really it did… I forgot to breathe while I was reading. Lucky for me the train stopped and I thought it was my stop. It was only then did I realise I had been holding my breath!This was one YA that I enjoyed for the adventure.Now I’m off to see the movie…

It was awesome! I loved the story, the other worlds! I felt the sadness of the distruction of Lorien. I felt like I was number four (even though I'm a girl).
