説明
Orwell's masterful depiction of a world dominated by propaganda and fear illustrates the psychological torment faced by those who dare to resist conformity. The novel delves into themes of language, identity, and the nature of reality itself, leaving readers to ponder the implications of a world where the past is altered and the future is bleak. It's a timeless commentary on the dangers of oppression that continues to resonate in contemporary discussions on power and privacy.

すべて表示I will never understand why people like this book. Or the other Orwellian "classic".Nothing about 1984 reads "prophetic" to me. It reads "This dude was obsessed with Stalin so he wrote down stuff Nazis were doing and called it communist" with a heavy dose of "Oh look, that's from Brave New World".It's a shame that Orwell didn't have the guts to finish this and find someone to publish it before WWII ended so it could fall into obscurity like it should have. There are so many interesting dystopian novels, some of which actually deserve the moniker "prophetic". This is not one of them.
Very well written, although a bit slow and not a subject I am really that attracted to. I really like the world building though.
